あかりワークショップとは．．．
「ものづくり」が生活の中から消えかかっている今、自らの手で「もの」を作り上げる感動、
そして「もの」を大切にする気持ちも忘れ去られようとしています。
そんな今こそ、多くの人に「ものづくり」のよさを感じていただきたい－ 弊社のそんな想いから「手作り行燈」は誕生しました。
「あかりワークショップ」では、創業以来百十余年に渡り受け継いできた木工職人の技を活かした「手作り行燈」を、その日のうちに「自分だけのオリジナル行燈」としてお持ち帰りいただくことができます。
木枠などの下ごしらえ済みですので他の材料や道具などの持ち物も必要なく、プロの指導の下どなたにも手軽かつ安心してお作りいただくことができます。
和紙や木の持つ温かみと職人の伝統技を感じながら、オリジナリティーあふれる「手作り行燈」をぜひ創ってみてください。
心癒される柔らかな光の中に、きっと「日本のあかり」の良さを感じることができるはずです。

Akari Workshop is …
In this age of consumptiveness, the joy of making “thing “ with own hands and the mindset to value and cherish “thing” appear to be gradually forgotten. It is because of this, we wish as many people as possible to experience the joy of making “something” with own hands. Our workshop for “handcrafted andon” was born out of this thought of ours.
At Akari Workshop you will be able to handcraft your own “original andon” inspired by the skills inherited over one hundred ten some years by the artisans. You will be provided with a preliminary wood frames so there is no need for you to bring materials or tools. You will be working under the guidance of a professional artisan and will be able to take home you own “original andon” at the end of the day. Try on your creativity to make your own “original handcrafted andon”, savouring the warmth of washi and wood, sharing in the traditional skill of a professional artisan. You will certainly sense the beauty of “Lighting of Japan” through the tranquil ambience it nurtures.
